Chicken

So I was working on this character and I thought it might work for this week's Illustration Friday as well. I love people that dress crazy, and have a unique personal style and are just plain weird. I am quite weird, but I like to keep up the charade of being normal. I'm too chicken, but I would love to dress like this every day!

App for the iPad

I've been working on art for a coloring book app that my friend wanted to develop for his three year old son. It's got a cute story following Ray, Dawn, and Cosmo from planet AquaBlue and their exploration of Earth. I love the fun background music and the paint by numbers/letters for kids learning letter/number recognition. It recently hit the iTunes App store and has gotten some great reviews!

Take a break!

So...I guess it's been over a year since I posted last. I can't believe so much time has gone by! Got a good amount of rest recently over the holidays. I took a week off with no traveling, and had two short work weeks for Christmas and New Year's. I read a bunch of books, cleaned, couch-potatoed...The break helped me quite a bit, as I've been feeling burnt out and run down. It's good to just take a break sometimes... especially if art is your full-time job.

I also had time to do some personal art. Hooray!

Opera

This was a second idea from my sketchbook that I wanted to do for Illustration Friday's "Magnify". I had fun creating her and her setting.

Magnify

This sketch was for Illustration Friday. I've really been into doing pencil sketches lately. I work on the computer everyday, and I've missed the feel and sound of pencil on paper so it's a nice change.

Caution

This sketckbook drawing started out as an idea for this week's Illustration Friday word "Caution". I had fun with this one :) I hope to play more with it on the computer and make a finished illustration of it someday.
